DVDs

The Zookeepers Wife – The film tells the true story of the Polish couple who ran the Warsaw zoo. During WW2 the couple worked with the resistance and tried to save many families from Nazi persecution. Directed by Niki Caro. Starring Jessica Chastain and Daniel Bruhl.

Moonlight –  The film follows the life of one man; from his childhood through to when he becomes an adult. Directed by Barry Jenkins. Starring Mahershala Ali and Naomie Harris.

Their Finest – Set in Britain during the Blitz. A film crew try and make a film to raise the flagging morale of the UK population. Directed by Lone Scherfig. Starring Gemma Arterton and Bill Nighy.

The Sense of an Ending – A retired man is forced to face up to his actions when he was younger. Directed by Ritesh Batra. Starring Jim Broadbent.

 

Books can be borrowed for up to three weeks. DVDs may be borrowed for one week. All borrowed items can be renewed up to three times, unless the items have been reserved by someone else.
