We’ve been hard at work expanding our Subject Guides section on our website to now include over 40+ tailor-made pages that cover everything from Animation to Child Care, Drama to Mathematics, Media Studies to Public Services and much more!
On each page you’ll find lists of subject-relevant books, e-books, magazines, DVDs, streamed video (on our media player, ClickView), external websites and links to extremely useful study help sites.
Hopefully you’ll find everything you need, however if we have missed out a subject or a particular excellent website, please feel free to contact us and we’ll include it in our ever-expanding list, it’s an organic thing!

Exams will soon be upon us. Don’t panic! Revise as often as you can, and just try your best on the day. We have lots of exam resources to help you prepare.
Here’s some tips for exam revision.
1- Give yourself plenty of time to study everything you need to. Don’t wait until the last minute to get started.
2- Don’t cram too much revision in at one time. Take regular breaks whilst you are studying.
3- Set up a regular study group with classmates.
4- Practice on past exam papers.
5- Study somewhere quiet (with as few distractions as possible.)
6- Make sure you let your tutor know if you are struggling with any subjects.
7- Borrow exam resources from the Library to help you practice.
APPy New Year! Library reveals shiny new toy!
What is it?
It’s a reader app available for iPhone and Android phones.
What does it do?
It lets you see, at a glance your College Library loans; overdues, charges, reservations and items ready for collection. You can also renew your loans should you wish.
There is a link directing you to the Library catalogue, where you can search for resources, go directly to e-books or ClickView videos, and reserve items to pick up later.
How do I get it?
Go to where you normally get your apps and search for MyCirqa.
Once you have downloaded the app, it will ask for your Library – start typing North Warwickshire, and the full name will appear; tap Go and put in your username and password.
Your username is your College ID number; your password is your date of birth using six digits, e.g. 1st October 1999 becomes 011099.
You will see the screen shown above; tap the coloured squares to go to that function, or tap the three bars in the top right to log out or to go to the Library catalogue.
Once again you have all been very generous. We have put together a Christmas food hamper and raised money for Glebe House. This is a fantastic facility offering support to our students.
We have raised £62.03p; some of this was from sales of our handmade festive decorations and some was from donations to our book exchange.
Our Gift Tree was once again a big success. People could take handmade baubles from the tree and in return donate the item printed on it (biscuits, chocolate etc) to the hamper.
Many thanks for your generosity and support.
The Library team wish all students and staff a very Merry Christmas.
There is still time to take part in the Reading Ahead Challenge. The aim is to get you to read six things, this doesn’t just have to be books, it could be magazines, or even newspaper articles. You will get a reading diary, and will need to write a review of what you have read as you go along.
This is a fun way to encourage reading, it’s also beneficial for those who don’t get enough reading time.
When you’ve completed your diary, you will get a certificate. There are also prizes along the way! You can sign up now to take the challenge in the Nuneaton campus Library.
We only have 10 places left, so if you are interested come and see us in the Nuneaton campus Library.
We hope those currently undertaking the challenge enjoy doing so.
Click here to see our complete Fiction list. We also have a Quick Read section, these are a collection of shorter stories.
The Hinckley campus Library now has a swipe machine for students. Swipe your student card and achieve hours towards your Learner Enrichment.
You will only be awarded the time if you are not scheduled to be in a class or due to be in one which starts within the next 30 minutes.
